現代語訳
そうなれば万一御用弁（公的な用事）が相成る者並びに旅商人等の足溜まりにも相成り、両町取り締まり所の利益となり、工商の者の人数が相増し、普請造作等もできるようになり、自然と繁昌永続できるでしょう。しかしながら当御藩中の方々が御入来になられても、仲間規則を伺いの上相立て置き、一切問題を起こさないよう、この上の御取締の儀は偏に御下知を願い上げます。
右の嘆願をいたします処、何卒両町繁栄の程をお聞き召され、御聞き済みの御沙汰を一同によって願い上げます。
右の趣意をもって御慈悲により願い上げます通りに仰せ付けられ、成し下し置かれましたならば、ありがたい仕合わせと存じます。以上

In that case, should there be any official business to be conducted, it would also serve as a stopping place for traveling merchants, benefiting both towns' administrative offices. The number of artisans and merchants would increase, construction and repairs could be carried out, and naturally prosperity would continue permanently. However, even when members of our domain come to visit, we would establish and maintain regulations among our group after proper consultation, ensuring no problems arise. We humbly request your guidance regarding further administrative oversight.
We make this petition, earnestly hoping that you will hear about the prosperity of both towns and grant us your approval, which we petition for on behalf of everyone.
With this intent, we petition through your mercy as stated above. Should you graciously grant and implement this request, it would be most grateful and fortunate. The above.

As written in the petition
This petition and memorandum were discussed with Ikegami-shi and Kasuga-shi of the bridge section, jointly prepared with fellow officials who gathered to discuss and compose the endorsement, sealed, and submitted on November 12th through Kondo-shi's intermediation at the government office. On the 18th of the same month, through Kondo-shi's intermediation, it was declared that the timing was not appropriate and the petition's content could not be accepted, that both parties were insufficient, and the petition and verbal statement were returned. As communicated by fellow officials, representatives of both districts were called and this was conveyed.
