宮田村町割の平沢長右衛門の次女「てう」と内縁関係にございますので、正式に妻として迎えたく、息子又右衛門の妻にいたしたく存じ上げ候。
これにつきまして願い上げ奉ります。
右の趣旨について、ご慈悲をもって願い上げ候通りお聞き届けくださいますなら、ありがたき仕合わせと存じ上げ候。以上

Humbly submitting this petition with utmost respect:
Regarding the matter of my son Mataemon's common-law relationship with "Teū," the second daughter of Hirasawa Chōuemon from the Machiwari district of Miyata Village. As they are in a common-law marriage, I wish to formally take her as his wife and make her the official wife of my son Mataemon.
I humbly submit this petition regarding this matter.
