恐れながら申し上げます。
私の組合の鍛冶屋政八は、去る月の晦日の夜に妻子を連れて
家出をいたしましたので、あちこち探し回りましたが行方が分かりません。
つきましては、宗門の件につきまして、捜索中ということにしていただけますようお願い申し上げます。

分かりませんので、職分を停止し、御鑑札をお返し申し上げたく

Regarding blacksmith Masahachi from my group, who ran away from home with his wife and children on the night of the last day of last month, we have searched everywhere but cannot determine his whereabouts.
Therefore, we humbly request that regarding the religious registration matter, he be designated as "under search."
