昨夜閑左衛門代組頭久治名代ニ罷越帰宿致ニ付今日迄差延置候
平治未タ帰国無之候御用状月越ニ相成ニ付廿九日差出候別段
御鑑札所平治之分御渡無之候此書状持参致候得者高遠藩役所より
鑑札御渡ニ相成候左様ニ心得候旨被仰渡候右願書も伊那縣ニ而
差出候写ニ御座候入御覧候御伺幷品々差出候処御尋御座候
閑左衛門町代之身分ニ而高遠各名主与役名心得違之状被仰聞候此儀者
伊那県ニ而町代役之閑左衛門義申上候処御含候而名主ニ而壱町之支配之事故宜敷趣被仰聞候

御役所にて中山締治殿へ八月二十五日到着いたしましたが、平治は足痛のため昨夜閑左衛門の代わりに組頭久治が名代として参りまして帰宿いたしましたので、今日まで延期いたしました。
平治はまだ帰国しておりません。御用状が月を越すことになりましたので二十九日に提出いたします。別段御鑑札、所の平治の分のお渡しはございません。この書状を持参いたしましたなら高遠藩役所より鑑札をお渡しになるとのことです。そのように心得るようにとおっしゃられました。右の願書も伊那県にて提出した写しでございます。ご覧に入れます。お伺い並びに品々を提出いたしましたところ、お尋ねがございました。
閑左衛門は町代の身分で高遠各名主と役名を心得違いしているとおっしゃられました。この件は伊那県にて町代役の閑左衛門のことを申し上げましたところ、ご了解いただき、名主で一町の支配のことゆえよろしいとおっしゃられました。

At the government office, [the document] arrived to Mr. Nakayama Teiji on the 25th day of the 8th month. However, as Heiji had leg pain, last night group leader Kyuji came as a substitute for Kanzaemon and returned to his lodging, so [the matter] was postponed until today.
Heiji has not yet returned to his home province. As the official correspondence has extended beyond a month, it will be submitted on the 29th day. There was no separate delivery of the license for Heiji's location. If this letter is brought, a license will be issued from the Takato Domain office. We were told to understand it in this manner. The above petition is also a copy of what was submitted at Ina Prefecture. Please review it. When we submitted inquiries and various items, there were questions.
It was pointed out that Kanzaemon, being of town representative status, had misunderstood his role compared to the various village heads of Takato. Regarding this matter, when we reported about town representative Kanzaemon to Ina Prefecture, they understood and said it was acceptable since he was a village head with jurisdiction over one town.
