右、渡り着き、同役（どうやく）久左衛門・久兵衛、
御中間（おちゅうげん）壱人を召し連れ、検知（けんち）・相改め申し候。
同二日
一 薪（まき）五百四十九間（けん）、ならびに弁才天川原
右同断、検知相済み。
同日
一 条左衛門殿より御手紙、
「最早（もはや）寒さ、重々につき、御綱打ち、今日
より相止め申し候様に」と仰せ下され、すなわち両人
へ右の趣、申し渡し申し候。
条左衛門殿へ罷り越し、先格（せんかく）の通り
御調べ■■■、その外、着積物（きつみもの）
上納（じょうのう）に多日（たにち）、実法（じっぽう）の通り、休日
五日のほど、申し上げ候。

1st Day
Item: One document [札]; 533 units [fun]; Katsuma Riverbed.
The above [goods] having arrived and been delivered, [we,] fellow official Kyūzaemon and Kyūbei,
accompanied by one御中間 (o-chūgen, mid-ranking attendant), conducted an inspection and examination.
2nd Day
Item: 549 ken of firewood, and [at] Benzaiten Riverbed.
Same as above; inspection completed.
Same Day
Item: A letter from Lord Jōzaemon [arrived, stating]:
"As the cold has already become severe, the honorable rope-striking [operations]
shall be suspended from today onward." Accordingly, [we] conveyed the
substance of the above to both persons.
[We] called upon Lord Jōzaemon and, in accordance with prior precedent,
reported [regarding] the inspection ■■■, and furthermore, [regarding] the arriving/accumulated goods,
[we] humbly submitted [a report] that, for the many days [remaining] until the납부
of tribute goods, there would be approximately five rest days, in accordance with established custom.

Item: The cormorant fisherman (ujō) of Tabara Village [submitted notice that] he wished to set
sticky-rope traps for teal ducks, as is customary each year.
[We] duly acknowledged and received [the notice].
Memorandum
Two御中間 (o-chūgen, attendants)
The above: As [they] attended [the site] for five days for the inspection of the stored firewood,
[we] humbly wish to receive [payment/receipt for their service]. Respectfully submitted.
