【左丁】 右は十一月久右衛門御扶持米請取 申候所図而如件   寅十一月  池上久兵衛印    御蔵方宛石 同 一御綱打料人相仕候に付御調  四反まをい其外看板物等御  武具高へ■ニ付定之通四日懸  其外ニ三日つゝ只今迄休日申付候  此段条左殿江申上候処四毛之義  前々ゟ御用相済村次第先々え  差戻し候筈に付六右衛門殿へ  申談何方え休日三日は差出候  様にと之御沙汰其段六左衛門殿  申談相済候向後左之通村  ■六右衛門両人差戻候 一こん屋安右衛門願差出候両人  相請仕候にて願義延引之段以来  吟味致上候早速差出候様に申  し渡候願御被申上に候 一中尾村役木善右衛門ゟ久兵衛方  送り證文前々ゟ御用人中え差出  不申候所先月同役差出候  条左衛門被仰付候此證大前々  残不申と覚候一切推相見不申候  依之御戻し被成候由此義ハ前々  差出不申候所同役心違■■

【左丁】 右は十一月分、久右衛門の御扶持米を受け取り申し候所、図(よって)如件(くだんのごとし)。   寅十一月  池上久兵衛(印)     御蔵方宛石(あてせき) 同 一 御綱打(おつなうち)の料人(りょうにん)が相仕(あいつかまつ)り候につき、御調べ、   四反まわい(まわい)、その外、看板物(かんばんもの)等、御   武具高(ぶぐだか)へ■につき、定(さだめ)の通り四日懸(よっかがかり)、   その外に三日ずつ、只今まで休日を申し付け候。   この段、条左衛門殿へ申し上げ候ところ、四毛(しもう)の義は   前々より御用相済み次第、先々へ   差し戻し候はずにつき、六右衛門殿へ   申し談じ、何方へも休日三日は差し出し候   様にとの御沙汰。その段、六左衛門殿へ   申し談じ、相済み候。向後(こうご)、左の通り、村   ■六右衛門、両人差し戻し候。 一 こん屋安右衛門、願いを差し出し候。両人   相請け仕り候にて、願いの義延引の段、以来   吟味致し、上候(のち)、早速差し出し候様に申し   渡し候。願い御被(おん)申し上げに候。 一 中尾村役木(やくぎ)、善右衛門より久兵衛方へ   送り証文、前々より御用人中へ差し出さず   申し候ところ、先月、同役より差し出し候。   条左衛門より仰せ付けられ候。この証(しょう)、大(おおかた)前々   残り申さずと覚え候。一切推し相見申さず候。   これによって御戻しなされ候由(よし)。この義は、前々   差し出さず申し候ところ、同役、心違い■■……

[Left folio] The above [records that] the stipend rice (fuchi-mai) for [the month of] November for Kyūemon has been duly received, [written] as stated herein.    Tora [year], Eleventh Month — Ikeue Kyūbei (seal)     [Addressed to:] Okura-kata [the granary office], allotted stone Same Item: As the workers (ryōnin) for the honorable rope-driving [operation] (o-tsunauchi) have been engaged/employed, upon inspection,   four tan of [net/rope] work (mawai), and furthermore various signboard items (kanban-mono),   [charged] against the weapons/arms account (bugu-daka) ■, [and] in accordance with regulations, [a period of] four days,   plus an additional three days each [as rest days], has been the arrangement of rest days (kyūjitsu) granted up to now.   When this matter was reported to Lord Jōzaemon, [he replied that] as for the four [workers] (shi-mō),   from the outset, once the honorable duties are completed, [they] are to be   returned [to their home villages] straightaway; therefore,   [we] consulted with Lord Rokuemon, [and] the instruction was that   three rest days are to be provided to whichever [parties are involved].   That matter was then discussed with Lord Rokuzaemon and settled.   Henceforth, as noted below, village ■ [and] Rokuemon — both persons — are to be returned [to their posts]. Item: Kon'ya Yasūemon submitted a petition. As [the matter was handled through] two persons jointly receiving [it],   [and] the petition matter had been delayed, [we] instructed [him] that henceforth   [the petition] should be submitted promptly after due deliberation.   The petition is [now] to be reported [to the authorities]. Item: Nakao Village — [regarding] the timber for corvée duties (yaku-gi) — a forwarding document (okuri-shōmon) from Zenemon to Kyūbei's office:   [This] had not been submitted to the [lord's] household administrators (go-yōnin-chū) from the outset,   but last month it was submitted by a fellow officer.   Lord Jōzaemon [then] issued an instruction [regarding it]. As for this document, [it appears that] generally speaking, no balance/remainder   from previous [transactions] is [believed to] remain. [We] could not discern [the matter] at all upon examination.   Accordingly, [the document] was returned [to us], it is said. As for this matter, while [it] had not been submitted previously,   a fellow officer, [acting on a] misunderstanding ■■…
