Item: On the twenty-first, while Inspector (*metsuke*) Heijirōemon of the *chūgen* [corps] was visiting the residence of [someone surnamed] Hisatome (Hisaru?), Kōsaku of the same post was summoned to the residence of Jūzō, where Jōzaemon was in attendance and witness. Regarding the matter of Zenemon's ■ [illegible], it was pronounced: "By special consideration on this occasion, you are hereby relieved of your official duties. You are to conduct yourself with strict propriety and circumspection henceforth."
In accordance with this, Kyūbei — a subordinate official — was summoned and brought along to Kōsaku's residence, and various account books and related records [were transferred/reviewed...]
