We humbly acknowledged the instructions conveyed to us. ■ [illegible] Thereupon, Kyūbei was summoned, and two *chūgen* (manservants) were assembled and brought along to Kōsaku's residence, where a cabinet (*tansu*), documents belonging to the co-official (*aiyaku*), along with two empty boxes and old account books — ■■ [illegible] — were received and [we] returned. We then proceeded directly to the residence of Heijirōemon to report the above matters, after which he departed.

Item: Regarding official timber *bun'ichi* (levy division) duties — persons of the group (*ninchū*) had not submitted [documents] in accordance with precedent (*senkaku*). Although Kōsaku had submitted [his], we reported that henceforth [such submissions] shall not be made. Nevertheless, we reported to Jūzō that, should it be received ■ [illegible] graciously, [the documents] would be submitted. The matter was thereby resolved.
The *bun'ichi* proxy fee (*bun'ichi dairyō*) was forwarded for submission.
