【左丁】 右の通り下役池上久兵衛の人数 このようでございます、以上   三月朔日   久左衛門 【付箋】材木天竜川下し□ 朔日 一雨、五つ時    総平 二日 一大草久太郎左衛門様がご幼年につき  この度また々飯島へ引き越される由、桑■屋  与右衛門が申し聞かせたにつき、いよいよさように  ございます、その方より飛脚を遣わし候役人中の  名前等をお聞き寄り候ように申し付け候ところ  飛脚を差し越し候由にて飯島町宿へ  申し遣わし候、この段を権左衛門殿へ申し上げ候  ところ、さようであれば私どもの印形を差し越し申す  べく候間、お飛脚を遣わし申し上ぐべく候、とのことで  お伺いし、直ちに御中間一人を申し立て、もっとも■  差し迫った路用として仮受け候、鳥目  五百文を相渡し、あへり勘定の  図り申し付け候 一書状の文言は左の通り 一久兵衛が啓上いたし候、追って暖気に  なられ候、各様いよいよご健固に  ご勤め成られ候、珍重に存じ奉り候、なお又  材木天竜川下し証文、この度  そちら御役所にてご裏判  いただき候段、承知いたし候、自今より  こちら木方の儀、各様まで御意を得べく  候間、よろしく相済み候ように成し  くださるべく候、これにより判鑑一枚差し

【Left Page】 As written above, regarding the household members of subordinate official Ikegami Kyūbei, it is as described, that is all.   3rd month, 1st day   Kyūzaemon 【Sticky note】Timber, Tenryū River transport □ 1st day One Rain, fifth hour [approx. 8 a.m.]    Sōhei 2nd day One Regarding Ōkusa Kutarōzaemon-sama being of young age,  this time again, we heard from Kuwaya  Yoemon that he would be moving to Iijima; accordingly, as this  appears to be the case, I instructed that the names of the  officials who would be sending a messenger be inquired of,  whereupon it was said that a messenger had been dispatched,  and a message was sent to the Iijima town lodging.  I reported this matter to Gonzaemon-dono,  who replied that in that case, they would send over their seal  impression, and that an express messenger would be sent.  After making this inquiry, one middle-ranking attendant  (chūgen) was immediately assigned; moreover, as traveling  expenses were urgently needed, five hundred mon in coin  was advanced and handed over, and instructions were given  to settle the accounting. One The wording of the letter is as follows: One Kyūbei respectfully writes: As the weather has become  warmer, I trust that all of you are continuing in good health  and carrying out your duties; I hold this in great esteem.  Furthermore, I have received word that the documents  regarding the transport of timber down the Tenryū River  have this time received the counter-seal (uradate)  at your office. Henceforth, matters concerning the  timber affairs here shall be brought to your attention;  please arrange for them to be settled appropriately.  Accordingly, one seal impression (hankan) is herewith  forwarded...
