近江屋（より）三人麻・芋麻・麻布の請け負い
運上（税）願いの義、願書上（申したるを）
御戻しなされ候。近年見合わせ（の）家（族・仲間）寄
か（と）いっては、重ねて礼（を）差し出し候様にと
仰せ付けられ候。今年の麻苧等の
出来方（の）様子より（察し）願い出候様に
仕るべき間、これにより近江屋（を）呼び寄せ申し

One item: Today, appearing at the official reception gate (御用口) of the castle to report on official business,
the following was communicated by Kumezaemon-dono:
During the previous month, a petition submitted by Ōmiya
regarding a contract for hemp (三人麻), hemp fiber (芋麻), and linen cloth (麻布),
along with the associated levy (運上) application, was returned (rejected/sent back).
It was indicated that in recent years, those associated (with such contracts) have been under review,
and that they should submit a formal expression of gratitude (礼) again.
Since they should submit a new petition after assessing the state of this year's hemp crop,
Ōmiya was summoned and so notified accordingly.

One item: One portion of saké accompaniment (さこ / 酒肴)
The above were brought as gifts upon traveling to Takami and Miyagawa,
and were presented to the kitchen (御台所); saké was received from the meal duty officers (御膳番).

One item: Regarding the annual lending account (御貸附金) listed below, there is a slight
discrepancy in the calculations. The account book belonging to ■zaemon-sama was returned.
As there are annotation slips affixed to the account book, it was discussed with colleagues of the same post,
and it was communicated that the calculations would be corrected and resubmitted in due course.
This is hereby reported.
