二十五日
一 今日、同役（どうやく）病気快癒、出勤致し、月番（つきばん）を相勤められ候様にと申し談じ候。
一 岡林坂の漆畑にある樫（かし）七本、内四本が苗木植え替えに相成り候につき、銀（代わりに代金を）取り、切り払い申したき段、申し上げ之。御普請方（おふしんかた）より下役安兵衛殿・大工頭（だいくがしら）両人罷り越し候て見分致し候折り、弐本は御用に立て申すべき、御見分致し候。依って、私どもの見分と相違致し候につき、両人立ち合い見分致し候様に罷り越し、見分致し候様（内）、十二本御用立て申し候。三本は木筋よろしからざる段、書付をもって申し上げ候。いずれも今日は御沙汰（ごさた）御座なく候。
一 御網打（おあみうち）の夜網（よあみ）に罷り出で申したき、（諸）品々、依って昨夜勤めて差し出し（候。）早くこの以後、夜（網）調（べ）、罷り出で候よう申し付け候。

Regarding the above, the two net-casters (ami-uchi) were summoned and given their orders. Due to inclement weather (futenyaku), the visit was postponed; the visit accordingly took place on the 22nd day.
25th Day
One item: Today, a colleague (dōyaku) recovered from illness and returned to duty; it was agreed that he should resume his monthly duty rotation (tsukiban).
One item: Regarding seven oak trees (kashi) in the lacquer field on the Okabayashi slope, as four of them are to be replaced with new saplings, a request was submitted to have them cut down and sold for silver. Two officials from the Construction Office (o-fushin-kata) — Shimoyaku Yasubē-dono and the chief carpenter (daiku-gashira) — came to inspect the site, and upon inspection determined that two of the trees could be put to official use. As their findings differed from our own assessment, both parties returned to conduct a joint re-inspection. As a result, twelve trees were deemed serviceable for official use, and a written report was submitted stating that three trees were of poor grain quality. In any case, no official ruling (o-sata) was issued today.
One item: Regarding the net-casters going out for night fishing (yo-ami), (the necessary) items and supplies were prepared and dispatched. Henceforth, orders have been issued for them to go out for nightly net inspections/fishing.
As this has been duly arranged.
