One item: Regarding the colleague's duty related to the "Matsutake Roku" [matsutake mushroom, sixth (round/batch)] official matter — there was [a conflicting] obligation [requiring him to] refrain [from that duty]; accordingly, a message arrived requesting that [someone] attend to the official duties of the upper authority. Thereupon, early in the morning, [the matter was] reported to the duty officer (tsuki-ban), and furthermore, it was communicated that the said official duty would indeed continue to be carried out [as usual/in due course].
