一、今日御用につき、飯島海伝へ飛脚を差し越し、差し出し書は左の通り。

一、八つ時過ぎ、条左衛門殿へ呼ばれ参り、すなわち罷り越し候ところ、この十七日に仰せ付けられ候飯島・海島への飛脚御書物の三ヶ所と申し候えども、郡代衆へは承り合わせ候の上、飯島へも三人の手代中へ御着物を下し置かれ候節、左様に相心得候ように仰せ付けられ候。手樽出来次第、二三日延引受け候由、相延ばし申し候様に。今日、御事御高納の義、吟味方へ申し談じ候様に、今刻、茂右衛門殿へ罷り越し、委細申し談じ候。来る二十四日までに指し、すなわち二十五日まで相■申したき段、申し談じ候。
一、以来は飯島の手代衆三人、御三納へ差し越し候ように仕るべき旨、条左衛門殿より仰せ付けられ候。これにより二十三日上日の覚を出し置き、御戻しになられ候。
一、庄屋甚平、病気快（かい）無く御座候。今年来、御領分中の藍瓶改め、近々差し出し申し候義につき、また世倅（せがれ）茂も去年も差し出し申したき旨、願い上げ奉り候。

Item: Today, regarding official business, a courier (hikyaku) was dispatched to Iijima Kaiden, and the letter sent out is as noted to the left.

Item: Having been summoned to Jōzaemon-dono past the Hour of the Rooster [around 2–3 p.m.], I duly attended. Regarding the matter ordered on the 17th — namely, the courier documents to be sent to Iijima and Kaishima at three locations — after consulting with the Deputy Intendant's office (gundai-shū), it was ordered that even for Iijima, the three deputy officials (tedai) should understand the arrangement regarding the bestowal of clothing (okimono). As for the hand-barrel (tezaru) [of sake], it was communicated that delivery should be postponed by two or three days once it is ready. Regarding today's matter of the honorable high tax collection (o-takō nō), I immediately called upon Mōuemon-dono and discussed the details at length. It was discussed that the matter be finalized by the 24th, or at the latest by the 25th.
Item: Henceforth, it was ordered by Jōzaemon-dono that the three deputy officials (tedai) of Iijima shall be dispatched to the three tax collection offices (go-san-nō). Accordingly, a memorandum for the formal duty day (jōjitsu) of the 23rd was drawn up and returned.
Item: Village elder (shōya) Jinpei's illness has not improved. In connection with the inspection of indigo vats (aigame aratame) throughout the domain, which is to take place shortly this year, a request has been submitted once again that his son (segare) Shige — who also wished to be sent out last year — be dispatched in his place.
