右の願書は五日に御役所へ北原氏と両池上が持参して出向き、坂井氏がお取次ぎくださり、下書きをご覧いただき、ご内意をうかがったところ、調印して差し出すようにとのお言葉をいただいたため、本書に書き換えて差し上げました。

Regarding the above petition: on the 5th day, Mr. Kitahara and both Ikegamis personally brought it to the government office. Mr. Sakai served as intermediary, reviewed the draft, and when we inquired about the official opinion, we were instructed to affix our seals and submit it. Accordingly, we have rewritten it as this formal document and respectfully submit it.
