11th month, 18th day: The above petition was submitted to Lord Inoue Takubei at the castle when Lord Yazawa Kakuya was on duty, requesting consultation regarding our petition and asking for intermediation. A separate list of names was attached. This was made into a petition for献上 (献上) of gifts. Moreover, today there was an official announcement that all townspeople without exception should be added to those献上ing foreign timepieces, and we were so informed.
