恐れながら申し上げます
私は本洗馬村の熊谷長右衛門が所持している
酒造株米高千六百二十石のうち千百
二十石分の株を仕入れ、この度譲り受けて商売をしたいと
お願い申し上げます。何卒ご慈悲をもって願いの通り
お聞き済みくださいましたならば、ありがたい仕合せと存じます

I wish to purchase and take over through transfer
1,120 koku worth of sake brewing rights from the total 1,620 koku
of sake brewing stock rice quota held by Kumagai Chōemon of Motowashiba Village,
and to conduct business therewith.
I humbly request your approval of this petition with your benevolent consideration.

it would be most grateful and fortunate.
