恐れながら申し上げます。
相生町南側にて土地をいただいて建設する件について、
年々延期となり、建設を行おうとしたところ、木材は揃いましたが、
大工や木挽き職人などに支障が生じ、建設ができない状況となり、
恐縮しております。来年正月二十八日までには間違いなく建設を
行いますので、何とぞ期日の延長をお聞き届けくださいますよう、
ひとえにお願い申し上げます。以上 霜町

With all respect, we humbly submit:
Regarding the construction on the land granted to us on the south side of Aioi-cho,
the project has been delayed year after year. When we attempted to proceed with construction,
although the timber was prepared, difficulties arose with carpenters and sawyers,
making it impossible to carry out the construction work.
We deeply apologize for this situation. We will without fail complete the construction
by the 28th day of the first month of next year, so we earnestly request
that you graciously grant us an extension of the deadline.
