引き上げ、去る巳年に建て替えの際立ち会った
者たち並びに同年抜き取りの際立ち会った
者たちを呼び出し立ち会い尋問いたしたところ、申し分が
格外食い違いましたので、書面をもって申し聞かせる
ように沙汰に及び、翌二十八日書面を差し出したので
なお申し談じたところ、何分即決し難い間柄ですので、
御時節柄出張先にて長々と取り糺すことにも
及ばない場所見分並びに申し立て
一通り立ち会いが済んだことにつき、なおこの上は
詳細な事柄を塩尻局にて尋問すべき旨を
申し合わせ、昨二十九日洗馬宿を出発し岩崎
権少属と一同ただ今引き上げ申します。詳細は
別帳写しにて申し上げます。もっともこの上尋ねる模様
により打ち合わせがある筈と申し談じ置きました。この旨
御達しいたします。

withdrew, and called out those who had been present during the reconstruction in the previous year of Mi, as well as those who had been present during the removal in the same year, and conducted questioning in their presence. However, their statements were extremely contradictory, so we instructed them to submit written statements, and when they submitted documents the following 28th day, we discussed the matter further. Since it was difficult to reach an immediate decision, and given the current circumstances, there was no need for prolonged investigation at the assignment location. Having completed the site inspection and hearing of claims, we agreed that detailed questioning should be conducted at the Shiojiri office. Yesterday, the 29th, we departed from Seba-juku, and Assistant Official Iwasaki and all others have now withdrawn. Details will be reported in a separate ledger copy. We have agreed that further consultation will be necessary depending on how the investigation proceeds. This matter is hereby reported.
