現代語訳
前に土器三枚、ただし輪に載せるべし。手水瓶・柄杓の代わりに錫一対、錫の口に雌蝶・雄蝶を付け、松と橘とを付けるべし。水引にて結び付けるなり。酌・加えの次第、酒の飲み様、盃の次第は前の如し。これより下がっては式作法も要らず、塗り盃にかますの蒸し肴、「目出たくございます」で済ますもあるべし。
一、色直しとて式三献の儀式済みて、婿の方より遣わす小袖を着替えるなり。婿も嫁の方よりの小袖を着替え、座敷に出てひとつ鮒の吸い物を据わり、また杯事があるべし。婿の方へ嫁より小袖二つ、帯、畳紙、扇、上下を遣わすものなり。婿はその夜これを着るべし。

In front, three earthenware vessels should be placed on rings. Instead of a water pitcher and ladle, a pair of pewter vessels with female and male butterflies attached to the spouts of the pewter, and pine and tachibana (bitter orange) should be attached. These are tied with mizuhiki cord. The procedure for sake pouring and accompaniment, the manner of drinking sake, and the order of cups are as before. For ceremonies of lower rank than this, formal etiquette is not required, and it may suffice to use lacquered cups with steamed kamasu fish as accompaniment and simply say "congratulations."
1. There is something called "iro-naoshi" (color change/costume change): after the formal san-gon ceremony is completed, the kosode sent from the groom's side is worn. The groom also changes into the kosode from the bride's side, comes out to the sitting room, and partakes of hitotsu-buna (single carp) soup, followed by another cup ceremony. From the bride to the groom's side are sent two kosode, an obi sash, tatou paper, a fan, and kamishimo formal wear. The groom should wear these that night.
