△無伝で生けることを禁ずる 歌三首

さては椿の一花一葉

四葉六花も伝ありと知れ
○河骨の獅子口又は沈み花
老母草や竹や松竹は猶更（極秘也）

折入花は茶室小座敷
○梅葵芍薬なども元を焼け
梅には泥をその上に塗れ
○蓮はまずその切り口に糸を巻き
泥にて猶も塞ぐべきなり

○河骨は萎み易きぞ切り口を
割りて山椒挟み生けるべし
○寒竹や蘆の葉なども砂糖水

○What is called ikebana suits parlors and study rooms
Nageire (casual arrangements) suits tea rooms and small chambers
○For plum, hollyhock, peony, etc., burn the base

And furthermore seal it with mud
○For flowering crab apple, wrap with young mint leaves
For arranging wisteria, warm sake is good
○Yellow pond lily wilts easily, so split the cut end
And insert Japanese pepper before arranging
○For winter bamboo and reed leaves, sugar water
Sprayed on will prevent wilting afterward
○If you want to bend iris flowers, use thread to hang them
And submerge in water for one night
