location
- We shall proceed downstream as usual
to assist with operations following
the magistrate, make our respectful inquiry, and then
all together take rest at Honkoin Temple
- When the district magistrate is replaced and hands over duties,
he appears in the main hall, and three of us
are granted audience, followed by town servants and town
representatives being summoned, wearing formal attire
for the audience. This time,
the town servants go together first,
then we perform individual greetings, with junior officials making
presentations and scribes handling acknowledgments
When town representatives attend,
we take the lead as during New Year's greetings,
with presentations and acknowledgments handled by scribes
After this is completed, only the new magistrate
appears for the formal thanks
- For both His Lordship's departure and return to the castle, after
the audience is completed, we perform courtesy rounds on that day

We report this duty, and after completing the six-mon courtesy rounds,
we report as ordered during the past Tempo
2nd year (Year of the Rabbit)
when His Lordship returned to the castle. Again in Tempo
6th year (Year of the Sheep), following the same
procedure

We accompany all of these visits, but
for the magistrate, we record in the register together
with the town representatives
