一軒ずつ町代・御用達を召し連れて
出向く。先例では町役人はもちろん一人
ずつ、町代も一丁につき銀を出して小頭衆に
御披露して個別に挨拶に出ていたが、近頃は
御役人一同が出向き、名前・苗字・名前を
それぞれ呼び上げて御披露がある。
御礼を申し上げ「無事に年を重ねることができ
誠にありがたいことです」と申し上げると、小頭衆が
御挨拶をしてくださり、ありがたく存じます旨を
御請けする。もちろん町役人が出向く場合の取り決めは
御成の際は
殿様・御重役様が御着座される御席に
出向くようにして、御奉行様にも御
着座のところに出向いて御礼を申し上げる。
町代・御用達は出向いた上で御出席
されて御請けしていただく。その節、問屋・
名主様と並んで上席の者に
御意をいただき、ありがたく存じます旨を申し上げる。
一、八日に御役所開き。御留守年は
十三日に開く。
一、初市・御初尾は御役所開きの節に
申し上げる事項。

右は申年正月十四日、当町初市祭礼の
御祝義として例年通り下し置かれ、

もちろん鉾町にも右同様に申し出る。
神主へは鉾持町から申し通す。
一、例の通り二十八日、権現御神流を執り行うよう
御役所に事前に御届けを申すべきこと。

Each household takes along town representatives and officials when
going out. According to precedent, not only town officials but also individual
town representatives would each pay silver per district to the junior officials (kogashira) for
formal introduction and make individual courtesy calls, but recently
all officials go together, and names, surnames, and given names are
called out individually for formal introduction.
After expressing gratitude and saying "We are most grateful to have been able
to safely add another year to our lives," the junior officials
offer their greetings, and we humbly accept with gratitude.
Of course, the protocol when town officials make visits is:
During formal occasions (onari):
They should go to the seats where the lord and senior officials
are seated, and also go to where the magistrates are
seated to express their gratitude.
Town representatives and officials, after going out, attend
and receive acknowledgment. At that time, alongside the ward representatives and
village heads, those in senior positions
receive gracious words and express their humble gratitude.
1. On the 8th day, the government office opening. In years when the lord is absent,
it opens on the 13th day.
1. The first market and initial ceremonial fish tail are matters to be reported

Memorandum
1. 100 mon in copper coins
The above is for the first market festival of our town on the 14th day of the 1st month of the Year of the Monkey,
granted as customary annual congratulatory gifts.
We have certainly received them, prepared the various items, and delivered them
without any problems. This is recorded for that purpose. End.

Notification to the shrine priest is made through the banner-bearing districts.
1. As usual, on the 28th day, advance notification should be made
to the government office that the Gongen sacred ritual will be performed.
