長さ六尺、厚さ七八寸余りとする。屋根瓦は富裕な者は銅板を用い、貧しい者は木板を葺く。
○雪は「ロシア」を最とする。「カムチャツカ」は最も多く、「オホーツク」は寒気が激しいけれども雪はかえって少ない。その積もりが甚だしい時も六尺ほどに至るのみである。
○ロシアの風俗では、客が到着すると主客共に室内を歩き回って語り合う。これによって足のしびれを防ぎ、摂生に役立てる。女子は散歩しないので、その椅子の底は弧形をなし、我が国の船底のようである。座る者は常に自ら揺れ動いて止まない。
