開化天皇 孝元の太子である。母は鬱色譴命という。鬱色雄命の妹である。大和の春日率川宮という所にお住まいになった。孝元に仕えた伊香色譴命という女を后とした。后の父大綜麻杵命が政治を行った。また伊香色雄命も政治を執った。在位六十年で崩御された。年百十五歳。

Eighth Generation
Emperor Kōgen - He was the crown prince of Kōrei. His mother was called Hoso-hime. She was the daughter of Ōme, the district chief of Shiki. He resided at a place called Karu-no-tokoro-no-sakaihara Palace in Yamato. A person named Utsu-shiko-o no Mikoto governed the realm. He reigned for fifty-seven years and passed away at the age of one hundred and seventeen.
Ninth Generation
Emperor Kaika - He was the crown prince of Kōgen. His mother was called Utsu-shiko-me no Mikoto. She was the younger sister of Utsu-shiko-o no Mikoto. He resided at a place called Kasuga-no-isagawa Palace in Yamato. He made Ika-shiko-me no Mikoto, a woman who had served Kōgen, his empress. The empress's father, Ōhetsu-ki no Mikoto, governed the realm. Ika-shiko-o no Mikoto also administered government. He reigned for sixty years and passed away at the age of one hundred and fifteen.
