法皇は金峯山へ御幸された。十一月、延喜格を撰進した。
六年八月、天皇が史記を読まれた。七月、大納言右大将藤原定国が卒去した。天皇の外舅（母方のおじ）である。九月、伊勢の鈴鹿山に群盗があり、その首謀者十六人を捕らえて誅した。十二月、日本紀を読み終えて、宴を設けて歌を詠ませた。
七年十月、紀州熊野の神に従一位を授けられた。法皇は熊野へ御幸された。
八年正月、渤海の使者裴璆が来朝した。四月、帰国した。
九年四月、左大臣藤原時平が薨去した。享年三十九歳。正一位・太政大臣を贈られた。本院の大臣と号した。
十年、干ばつ・天変・怪異などがあった。
十三年三月、右大臣源光が薨去した。享年六十九歳。八月、大風があった。

The Cloistered Emperor made an imperial visit to Mount Kinpu. In the eleventh month, the Engi Regulations (Engishiki kyaku) were compiled.
In the sixth year, eighth month, the Emperor read the Shiji (Records of the Grand Historian). In the seventh month, the Grand Counselor and Right General Fujiwara no Sadakuni passed away. He was the Emperor's maternal uncle. In the ninth month, there were bandits on Mount Suzuka in Ise Province; sixteen of their ringleaders were captured and executed. In the twelfth month, having finished reading the Nihongi, a banquet was held and poetry composition was ordered.
In the seventh year, tenth month, the deity of Kumano in Kii Province was granted the Senior First Rank. The Cloistered Emperor made an imperial visit to Kumano.
In the eighth year, first month, the envoy Hai Qiu (Haikiū) from Balhae came to court. In the fourth month, he returned to his country.
In the ninth year, fourth month, the Left Minister Fujiwara no Tokihira passed away. He was thirty-nine years old. He was posthumously granted Senior First Rank and the title of Grand Minister of State. He was given the posthumous name "Minister of the Hon'in."
In the tenth year, there were droughts, celestial anomalies, strange occurrences, and other such events.
In the thirteenth year, third month, the Right Minister Minamoto no Hikaru passed away at the age of sixty-nine. In the eighth month, there were great winds.
