十四年正月、京中の家六百余りが焼失した。六月、大水があった。七月、大納言藤原忠平が右大臣となった。時平の弟である。
十六年三月七日、朱雀院に行幸があり、法皇の五十の賀算をお祝い申し上げた。五月七日、貞純親王が薨去された。清和天皇第六の皇子である。源氏の先祖である桃園親王がこの方である。同二十一日、風雨が激しかった。中納言藤原定方・藤原清貫が賀茂川の堤を巡見した。
十七年、大旱魃があり、洛中の池が涸れた。
二十年五月、渤海の使者裴璆がまた来朝した。正三位を授けられて帰国した。
二十一年十月、少納言平惟扶を勅使として高野山へ遣わし、弘法大師に大師号を贈られた。

In the fourteenth year, first month, more than six hundred houses in the capital were destroyed by fire. In the sixth month, there was a great flood. In the seventh month, Major Counselor Fujiwara no Tadahira became Minister of the Right. He was the younger brother of Tokihira.
In the sixteenth year, third month, seventh day, an imperial visit was made to the Suzaku-in Palace, where a celebration was held in honor of the Retired Emperor's fiftieth birthday. On the seventh day of the fifth month, Prince Sadazumi passed away. He was the sixth son of Emperor Seiwa, and was the ancestor of the Minamoto clan — this was Prince Momozono. On the twenty-first day of the same month, wind and rain were fierce. Middle Counselor Fujiwara no Sadakata and Fujiwara no Kiyotsura made an inspection tour of the embankments along the Kamo River.
In the seventeenth year, there was a great drought, and the ponds within the capital dried up.
In the twentieth year, fifth month, the Balhae envoy Pei Qiu came to court again. He was granted the rank of Senior Third Rank and returned home.
In the twenty-first year, tenth month, Minor Counselor Taira no Koresuke was dispatched as an imperial envoy to Mount Kōya, and the title of Daishi (Grand Master) was posthumously bestowed upon Kōbō Daishi.
