武埴安彦という人が謀叛し、都を襲撃したが、官軍と相戦って武埴安彦は滅びた。近国がすでに治まったので、皇子豊城命をして東国を治めさせた。武諸木命という臣に大連という官職を授け、政治を執らせた。任那国より使者が来て、貢物を奉った。この国は三韓の内であろう。異国より貢を献ずることはこれを始めとする。ある説には、任那国より来る人は、額に角があり、船に乗って越前の筍飯浦に着いた。故にその処を角鹿と名づく。筍飯は今の気比である。角鹿は今の敦賀である。在位六十八年にして崩御。享年百二十歳。

A man named Takehaniasu-hiko rebelled and attacked the capital, but the imperial army fought against him and Takehaniasu-hiko perished. Since the nearby provinces were already pacified, he had Prince Toyoki no Mikoto govern the eastern provinces. He granted the office of Ōmuraji to a retainer named Takemoro-wake no Mikoto and had him administer the government. An envoy came from the country of Mimana and presented tribute. This country was probably within the Three Han kingdoms. This marks the beginning of foreign countries offering tribute. According to one theory, the person who came from Mimana had horns on his forehead and arrived by ship at Kehi-no-ura in Echizen. Therefore, that place was named Tsunoga. Kehi is present-day Kehi. Tsunoga is present-day Tsuruga. He reigned for sixty-eight years before passing away at age one hundred and twenty.
