現代語訳
（享年）六十六。この人（藤原元方）の娘が天皇の女御となって、第一皇子・広平を産んだ。しかるに第二皇子・憲平は、師輔の外孫であることにより、第一皇子を越えて皇太子に立てられた。そのため元方は恨んで憂いに沈んで死んだ。その後ほどなく、女御も第一皇子も薨じられた。皇太子・憲平は邪気の病に侵された。これは元方の怨霊であると言われた。
（天暦）九年（955年）正月、内裏にて法華講があった。初めて公卿をして布施を引かせた。三月、北野天神の託宣によって、右近の馬場に一夜のうちに千本の松が生じたと言われる。
天徳元年（957年）四月、師輔の五十の賀をお祝い申し上げて、藤壺にて宴を設けて、天盃を師輔に賜った。
二年（958年）三月、実頼に輦車を許された。十一月、源経基が卒した。

...sixty[-six in age]. This man's [Fujiwara no Motōkata's] daughter had become an imperial consort (nyōgo) of the Emperor and had given birth to the First Prince, Hirohira. However, the Second Prince, Norihira, being the maternal grandson of [Fujiwara no] Morosuke, was elevated to Crown Prince over and above the First Prince. For this reason, Motōkata harbored deep resentment, sank into grief, and died. Not long thereafter, the imperial consort and the First Prince also passed away. Crown Prince Norihira was afflicted by a disease caused by malevolent spirits (jaki). It was said that this was the vengeful spirit (onryō) of Motōkata.
In the ninth year [of Tenryaku, 955], in the first month, a Lotus Sutra Lecture (Hokke-kō) was held in the imperial palace. For the first time, court nobles (kugyō) were made to offer donations (fuse). In the third month, it is said that, by oracle (takusen) of the Kitano Tenjin, a thousand pine trees grew up overnight at the Right Imperial Guards' Riding Ground (Ukon no Baba).
In the first year of Tentoku [957], in the fourth month, a celebration was held in honor of Morosuke's fiftieth birthday, and a banquet was arranged at the Fujitsubo, at which an imperial cup (tenpai) was bestowed upon Morosuke.
In the second year [of Tentoku, 958], in the third month, [Fujiwara no] Saneyori was granted permission to ride in a litter (renji-sha). In the eleventh month, Minamoto no Tsunemoto passed away.
