永承元年正月、右大臣藤原実資が薨去した。年九十歳。実頼の孫である。小野の右大臣と号した。この人の作った記録を小右記と号する。七月、後一条天皇の皇女章子を中宮とした。
二年八月、教通が内大臣より右大臣に転じ、大納言頼宗が内大臣となった。皆頼通の弟である。
四年十一月、殿上の歌合せがあった。これは村上天皇の御時より、代々興行されることである。十二月、春日行幸があった。諸国の神社へ、仏舎利を一粒ずつ納められた。
五年十月、祖母上東門院へ行幸した。十二月、頼通の娘寛子を皇后とした。中宮とは同様のことであるが...

In the first month of the first year of Eishō, Right Minister Fujiwara no Sukezane passed away at age ninety. He was the grandson of Sanetada. He was called the Right Minister of Ono. The records he created are called the Uyūki. In the seventh month, Princess Shōshi, daughter of Emperor Go-Ichijō, was made Empress.
In the eighth month of the second year, Noritō was transferred from Inner Minister to Right Minister, and Major Counselor Yorizune became Inner Minister. Both were younger brothers of Yorimichi.
In the eleventh month of the fourth year, there was a poetry competition in the imperial palace. This had been held in successive reigns since the time of Emperor Murakami. In the twelfth month, there was an imperial visit to Kasuga. One grain of Buddhist relics was enshrined at shrines in various provinces.
