則貞という商人の便船に書簡を大宰府へ送り、日本の名医を求めた。この時、丹波雅忠という医師がおり、治療技術に優れて、その名は異国にまで聞こえていたので、彼の国王の病気を治療することを求めた。しかし、朝廷で議論があり、雅忠を派遣しなかった。その返書は大江匡房がこれを作成した。
永保元年三月、興福寺の僧と多武峯の奴婢が争い、興福寺の僧が打たれたので、衆徒等が大いに怒り、大勢を集めて多武峯を焼き破った。六月、比叡山と三井寺が不和となって合戦に及び、三井寺が悉く炎上した。
