寛治二年七月、大納言忠実が右大臣に任じられた。源雅実が内大臣に任じられた。雅実は顕房の子である。同年、源義家の嫡男で対馬守の義親が、勅宣に背いたため出雲国へ流罪となった。
三年二月、前関白藤原師実が薨去した。年齢六十四歳。
四年正月、春日行幸があった。三月、法皇の五十歳の算賀を祝った。
六月、大江匡房が筑紫より帰京した。中納言藤原季仲が大宰帥となって下向した。この人は色が黒いため、黒帥と号された。

In the seventh month of Kanji 2 (1088), Major Counselor Tadazane was appointed Right Minister. Minamoto no Masazane was appointed Inner Minister. Masazane was the son of Akifusa. In the same year, Yoshichika, the eldest son of Minamoto no Yoshiie and Governor of Tsushima, was exiled to Izumo Province for defying an imperial edict.
In the second month of the third year, former Regent Fujiwara no Morozane died at the age of sixty-four.
In the first month of the fourth year, there was an imperial visit to Kasuga. In the third month, the fiftieth birthday of the Cloistered Emperor was celebrated.
In the sixth month, Ōe no Masafusa returned to the capital from Kyushu. Middle Counselor Fujiwara no Suenaka became Dazai no sochi and departed for his post. Because this person was dark-skinned, he was called Kokusosu (Black Commander).
In the first month of the fifth year, there was an imperial visit to Toba Detached Palace, where audience was granted to the Cloistered Emperor.
