現代語訳
七条修理大夫信隆の娘である。高倉院に寵愛されて、守貞と尊成の二人の皇子を産んだ。寿永二年七月、先帝（安徳天皇）が西海に向かわれたため、法皇（後白河法皇）は二人の御孫を呼んで対面された時、守貞は五歳であったが法皇を見て泣きぐずった。尊成は四歳であったが法皇の膝の上に上った。法皇は喜ばれて、帝位に即けさせられた。
藤原基通は清盛の婿であるけれども都に留まったため、摂政は元のままであった。政務はすべて法皇の裁断によって行われ、都の警備は木曾左馬頭義仲が担当した。
九月、先帝は豊前の宇佐八幡宮に行幸された。平家はしばらく太宰府に落ち着いて時機を待っていたところ、豊後の緒方三郎維義が兵を集めて太宰府を攻撃したため、九州にも留まることができず、先帝をお連れして四国へ向かった。豊前の柳ヶ浦を過ぎる時、左中将清経が海に身を投げて死んだ。これは重盛の三男である。

She was the daughter of Shichijo Shuri-no-taifu Nobutaka. Beloved by Emperor Takakura, she gave birth to two imperial princes: Morisada and Takahira. In the seventh month of Juei 2 (1183), when the Former Emperor (Antoku) departed for the western seas, the Cloistered Emperor (Go-Shirakawa) summoned his two grandsons for an audience. Morisada, who was five years old, cried when he saw the Cloistered Emperor. Takahira, who was four years old, climbed onto the Cloistered Emperor's lap. The Cloistered Emperor was pleased and had him ascend to the imperial throne.
Although Fujiwara no Motomichi was Kiyomori's son-in-law, he remained in the capital and continued as regent. All government affairs were conducted under the Cloistered Emperor's authority, and the security of the capital was entrusted to Kiso Sama-no-kami Yoshinaka.
In the ninth month, the Former Emperor made a pilgrimage to Usa Hachiman Shrine in Buzen. The Taira had temporarily settled at Dazaifu, waiting for an opportune moment, when Ogata Saburo Koreyoshi of Bungo raised troops and attacked Dazaifu. Unable to remain even in Kyushu, they departed for Shikoku, taking the Former Emperor with them. When passing Yanagi-ga-ura in Buzen, Sachu-jo Kiyotsune threw himself into the sea and died. He was Shigemori's third son.
