Since the sacred mirror floated, it was returned to the capital along with the Naishidokoro. The sacred sword sank and was lost. The former emperor ascended the throne at age three, with the era names Yōwa and Juei, reigning for a total of over three years. He left the capital at age six, spent over two years in the countryside, and died by drowning in the sea at the mere age of eight. In the fourth month, Yoshitsune returned to the capital. Yoritomo was promoted to Junior Second Rank due to his military achievements. In the fifth month, Yoshitsune went to Kamakura, taking Munemori and his son with him as he traveled down. Yoritomo sent Hōjō Tokimasa to Koshigoe to receive Munemori and his son, but did not allow Yoshitsune to enter Kamakura. This was because Yoshitsune was proud of his military achievements and had a tendency toward arbitrary action, often not conforming to Yoritomo's wishes. It is also said to be due to Kagetoki's slander. In the sixth month, Yoritomo [dealt with] Munemori and his son
