祐成、その弟五郎時宗は、夜中にひそかに工藤祐経の家に入って、これを殺し、父の仇を討った。そこから頼朝の旅館に乱入して、十人ばかりを刃傷した。夜中の突然の出来事であったので、大いに騒動となった。仁田忠常に遭遇して、祐成は討たれた。時宗はなお進み続けたので、頼朝自らが出ようとした。大友能直がこれを押しとどめている間に、五郎丸という大力の者が、時宗を搦め捕った。頼朝は直接その子細を尋問して赦そうとしたが、祐経の子の申請により、時宗は斬罪となった。そもそも祐成の父を河津祐泰という。祐泰の父を伊東祐親という。祐経の父が死んだ時、幼少であったため、祐親一族のよしみにより、その領地を預かっていたが、祐経が成人した後、互いに申し分があることにより、祐経はその怒りを祐泰に向けて、ひそかに祐泰を殺して、自分は知らない様子をしていたけれども、祐成・時宗がようやく成長し、父の仇であることが

Sukemasa and his younger brother Gorō Tokimune secretly entered Kudō Tsunetsune's house at night, killed him, and avenged their father. From there they burst into Yoritomo's lodging and wounded about ten people with their swords. Since this was a sudden incident in the middle of the night, it caused great commotion. They encountered Nitta Tadatsune, and Sukemasa was killed. Since Tokimune continued to advance, Yoritomo himself was about to come out. While Ōtomo Yoshinao held him back, a man of great strength called Gorōmaru captured Tokimune. Yoritomo directly questioned him about the details and was about to pardon him, but due to a petition from Tsunetsune's son, Tokimune was sentenced to death by beheading. Now, Sukemasa's father was called Kawazu Yasuyasu. Yasuyasu's father was called Itō Sukechika. When Tsunetsune's father died, since he was young, due to the friendship with the Sukechika clan, he had been entrusted with managing that territory.
