Around the same time, a man called Shibata of Ōshū Province rebelled. Yoriie dispatched warriors to execute him. In the first month of Kennin 1 (1201), the Emperor (Tsuchimikado) made an imperial visit to the Retired Emperor's palace for morning audience, and Oyama Tomomasa, the protector of Kyoto, and Sasaki Sadatsuna also attended.
