寺を建立し、禅宗を始めた。栄西が開山である。七月、頼家は従二位に叙され、征夷大将軍に任じられた。十月、久我内大臣源通親が薨去した。年五十四歳。大納言藤原隆忠が内大臣に任じられた。十二月、基通は摂政を辞任され、左大臣良経が摂政となった。後京極と号する。この人は和歌に通じ、また詩も作った。
三年五月、頼家の叔父阿野法橋全成が駿河国にて謀叛の企てがあった。事が発覚して殺された。六月、頼家は伊豆で狩りをし、和田胤長に伊東崎の洞穴に入らせた。穴の中に大蛇がいたが、胤長がこれを斬り殺した。伊豆から駿河へ狩りに行き、仁田忠常に富士の人穴へ入らせた。八月、頼家が病にかかって既に危険な状態となったので、相坂関より東二十八か国をもってその子一幡に譲り、相坂関より西三十八か国をもって弟実朝に譲った。

In the tenth month, Kuga Inner Minister Minamoto no Michichika passed away at age fifty-four. Senior Counselor Fujiwara no Takatada was appointed as Inner Minister. In the twelfth month, Motomichi resigned from the position of regent, and Left Minister Yoshitsune became regent. He was called Gōkyōgoku. This person was accomplished in waka poetry and also composed Chinese poetry.
In the third year, fifth month, Yoriie's uncle Ano Hōkyō Zensei plotted rebellion in Suruga Province. When the plot was discovered, he was killed. In the sixth month, Yoriie went hunting in Izu and had Wada Tanenaga enter a cave at Itō Cape. There was a large serpent in the cave, which Tanenaga slew. From Izu he went hunting in Suruga and had Nitta Tadatsune enter the human cave of Mount Fuji. In the eighth month, Yoriie fell ill and was already in critical condition, so he bequeathed twenty-eight provinces east of Ōsaka Barrier to his son Ichiman, and thirty-eight provinces west of Ōsaka Barrier to his younger brother Sanetomo.
