内と、神前にて湯を探らせて、その真偽を決定した。武内が勝って、元のように官職に復帰した。湯起請の起こりはこれである。
この代に、百済国より王仁という博士が、論語等の書物を持って来朝した。太子菟道稚郎子はこれを師として、書を読み習った。また絹を縫う者も、絹を織る者も、糸綿を紡ぐ者も、三韓より皆やって来た。呉国より来た者を呉織と言う。秦の始皇帝の子孫も、後漢の皇帝の子孫も、来朝する者があった。
ある時天皇が吉野へ行幸された時、この山の奥の国樔という所に住む者が参上して、甘酒を奉ることがあった。吉野の国樔の人が内裏へ参ることは、これより始まった。
在位四十一年にして崩御された。御年百十歳。この天皇は欽明天皇の代に神として現れ、豊前国宇佐宮に崇め奉られている。白幡

In this reign, a scholar named Wani from the kingdom of Baekje came to court bringing books such as the Analects of Confucius. Crown Prince Uji no Wakairatsuko took him as teacher and learned to read and write. Also, those who sewed silk, those who wove silk, and those who spun silk thread and cotton all came from the Three Han kingdoms. Those who came from the Wu kingdom were called Kurehatori (Wu weavers). There were also descendants of Qin Shi Huang and descendants of the Later Han emperors who came to court.
On one occasion when the Emperor made a progress to Yoshino, inhabitants of a place called Kusu in the depths of these mountains came forth and offered sweet rice wine. The custom of people from Kusu in Yoshino coming to the imperial court began from this time.
He reigned for forty-one years before passing away at the age of one hundred and ten. This Emperor manifested as a deity during the reign of Emperor Kinmei and is worshipped at Usa Shrine in Buzen Province. White banners
