重（しげる）は三十四歳、義信は二十八歳、秀盛は十五歳、孫の朝盛らは、ある者は討たれ、ある者は逃亡した。同類の土屋義清、岡崎実忠、横山時兼、古郡保忠、土肥惟平らや、梶原氏の残党も、ある者は討たれ、ある者は逃げ隠れた。朝夷名義秀は、残った五百人を率いて船に乗り、安房国へ向かった。その行方を知らないとも言われるし、また落ち延びる途中で討たれたとも言われる。ある説では、対馬国へ渡り、高麗国へ向かったとも言われている。その他の徒党は所々で殺された。胤長も配流先で誅殺された。六月、実朝は幕府を新造した。八月、清水寺と清閑寺の間で争論があった。南都の衆徒は清水寺を支援し、叡山の衆徒は清閑寺を支援した。検非違使に勅して双方を宥めさせたが、南都は従ったものの、叡山は従わなかった。これにより、官兵らが山僧十余人を打ち殺した。

Allied warriors including Tsuchiya Yoshikiyo, Okazaki Sanetada, Yokoyama Tokikane, Furukōri Yasutada, Doi Korehira, and the remaining members of the Kajiwara clan were either killed or went into hiding. Asaina no Yoshihide led the remaining five hundred men, boarded ships, and headed for Awa Province. Some say his whereabouts became unknown, while others say he was killed during his escape. According to one theory, he crossed to Tsushima Province and proceeded to Korea. The other followers were killed in various places. Tanenaga was also executed at his place of exile. In the sixth month, Sanetomo constructed a new shogunate building. In the eighth month, there was a dispute between Kiyomizu-dera and Seikan-ji temples. The warrior monks of Nanto (Nara) supported Kiyomizu-dera, while the warrior monks of Mount Hiei supported Seikan-ji. The emperor issued an edict to the kebiishi (police commissioners) to pacify both sides. Nanto complied, but Mount Hiei did not. As a result, government troops killed more than ten mountain monks.
