すぐに二位禅尼の前で、義時並びに広元・善信が評議し、京都へ軍兵を差し遣わした。武蔵守泰時、相模守時房並びに足利義氏、三浦義村等、十万騎が東海道より上った。武田・小笠原・小山・結城が五万騎で東山道より上った。義時の次男朝時等が四万騎で北陸道より上った。

was the imperial messenger. Taneyoshi privately sent a messenger to his elder brother Miura no Suke Yoshimura, informing him that Yoshitoki should be attacked. Yoshimura did not agree and showed Taneyoshi's letter to Yoshitoki. Oshimatsu was also sought out and captured.
Immediately, in the presence of the Nun of the Second Rank, Yoshitoki along with Hiromoto and Zenshin deliberated and dispatched military forces to Kyoto. Musashi no Kami Yasutoki, Sagami no Kami Tokifusa, along with Ashikaga Yoshiuji, Miura Yoshimura and others—100,000 horsemen—advanced via the Tōkaidō route. Takeda, Ogasawara, Oyama, and Yūki with 50,000 horsemen advanced via the Tōsandō route. Yoshitoki's second son Asatoki and others with 40,000 horsemen advanced via the Hokurikudō route.
