良平は良経の弟である。
嘉禄元年（1225年）六月、大江広元入道覚阿が死去した。年八十三歳。頼朝以来の武家政務の相談役であった。七月、二位の禅尼平政子（法名如実）が逝去した。六十九歳。実朝が薨去した後に政治を聞いたので、俗に尼将軍と号した。九月、天台座主前大僧正慈円が寂した。慈鎮と諡される。法性寺関白忠通の子で、和歌に名を得た僧である。十一月、鎌倉の頼経が元服した。時に八歳。泰時が補佐として心を政道に尽くした。十二月、石清水・賀茂行幸があった。
二年（1226年）正月、頼経が征夷大将軍に補任され、正五位下に叙され、右少将に任じられた。五月、陸奥国で禅師公暁と名乗って叛逆する者があり、結城朝広らがこれを捕らえて誅殺した。

Yoshihira was the younger brother of Yoshitsune.
In the first year of Karoku (1225), in the sixth month, Ōe Hiromoto, the lay monk Kakua, died at the age of eighty-three. He had been an advisor on warrior government affairs since the time of Yoritomo. In the seventh month, the Second Rank Nun Taira Masako (Buddhist name: Nyojitsu) passed away at sixty-nine. Since she had governed after Sanetomo's death, she was commonly called the Nun Shogun. In the ninth month, the former Chief Abbot of Tendai and former Great Prelate Jien died. He was posthumously named Jichin. He was the son of Hōshōji Chancellor Tadamichi and was a monk renowned for his waka poetry. In the eleventh month, Yoritsune of Kamakura underwent his coming-of-age ceremony at the age of eight. Yasutoki served as his guardian and devoted his heart to governance. In the twelfth month, there were imperial visits to Iwashimizu and Kamo shrines.
In the second year (1226), in the first month, Yoritsune was appointed Sei-i Taishōgun, granted the court rank of junior fifth rank lower grade, and appointed Right Minor Captain. In the fifth month, in Mutsu Province, there was a rebel who called himself the Zen Master Kōkyō. Yūki Tomohiro and others captured and executed him.
