安貞元年（1227年）正月、徳大寺左大臣藤原公継が薨去した。年五十三歳。二月、関白家実の娘長子が入内し、中宮となった。前の中宮有子は退けられて、安嘉門院と号した。有子は主上より年上であるけれども、主上と甚だ睦まじい。長子は今九歳であるので、主上が思いを有子に通わせられるといっても、御心のままにならない。四月、藤原師経が右大臣を辞した。内大臣良平が左大臣に任じられ、大納言藤原教実が右大臣に任じられ、大納言藤原兼経が内大臣に任じられた。教実は前摂政道家の長子である。兼経は家実の子である。六月、泰時の次男時実が高橋某に殺された。年十六歳。高橋も生け捕りにされて誅殺された。

In the first year of Antei (1227), in the first month, the Left Minister of Tokudaiji, Fujiwara Kinitsugu, passed away at the age of fifty-three. In the second month, Chōshi, daughter of Chancellor Ieane, entered the imperial palace and became Empress. The former Empress Ariko was removed and given the title Ankamon-in. Although Ariko was older than His Majesty, she was very intimate with him. Since Chōshi is now only nine years old, even if His Majesty wishes to express his feelings to Ariko, he cannot do as his heart desires. In the fourth month, Fujiwara Morotsune resigned from the position of Right Minister. Inner Minister Yoshihira was appointed Left Minister, Grand Counselor Fujiwara Norisane was appointed Right Minister, and Grand Counselor Fujiwara Kanetsune was appointed Inner Minister.
