法助、叡山の座主恵源、三井寺の長吏行昭も道家の子である。仁和寺へは皇子でなくして入室する例は、これを始めとする。西園寺前相国公経は道家の舅である。故に朝廷の権力は道家・公経にあった。しかしながら、皆北条泰時の計らいである。
天福元年正月、頼経を権中納言に任じる。五月、近衛前摂政基通が薨去する。歳七十四。普賢寺と号する。九月、藻壁門院が崩御する。歳二十五。
文暦元年三月、泰時の嫡孫経時が元服する。頼経自ら加冠を行う。五月、九条廃帝が崩御する。歳十七。八月、後堀河院が崩御する。歳二十三。これより道家・公経はいよいよ恣意のままに事を行った。十二月、頼経を正三位に叙する。

Hōsuke, the head abbot of Mount Hiei Egen, and the chief administrator of Mii-dera Gyōshō were also sons of Michiie. The precedent of entering Ninna-ji temple without being an imperial prince began with this. Former Chancellor Saionji Kintsune was Michiie's father-in-law. Therefore, the power of the imperial court lay with Michiie and Kintsune. However, all of this was through the arrangement of Hōjō Yasutoki.
In the first month of Tenpuku 1 (1233), Yoritsune was appointed to the position of Provisional Middle Counselor. In the fifth month, Former Regent Konoe Motomichi died at the age of seventy-four, taking the posthumous name Fugen-ji. In the ninth month, Sōheki Mon-in died at the age of twenty-five.
In the third month of Bunreki 1 (1234), Yasutoki's eldest grandson Tokiyoshi came of age, with Yoritsune himself performing the capping ceremony. In the fifth month, the deposed Emperor Kujō died at the age of seventeen. In the eighth month, Emperor Go-Horikawa died at the age of twenty-three. From this point on, Michiie and Kintsune acted increasingly according to their own will. In the twelfth month, Yoritsune was promoted to the Third Rank.
