嘉禎元年三月、摂政教実が薨去する。歳二十六。今の九条殿はこの末裔である。道家が再び摂政となる。四月、禅僧円爾が宋国へ入り、径山の無準に逢って法を受ける。十月、近衛右大臣兼経が左大臣に転じ、西園寺内大臣実氏が右大臣に任じられ、大納言藤原良実が内大臣に任じられる。十一月、頼経が従二位に叙せられる。十二月、石清水の神人が春日の神人を傷つけ、奈良の大衆が大いに起こり、神輿を捧げて上洛する。北条重時が士卒を遣わしてこれを防ぎ、また使者を遣わして宥めたところ、神輿は木津川より帰座した。この間は道家を始めとして藤原氏の人々は参内しなかった。

In the third month of Kajō 1 (1235), Regent Norizane died at the age of twenty-six. The current Kujō house descends from this line. Michiie again became regent. In the fourth month, the Zen monk Enni entered Song China and met Wuzhun at Mount Jing, receiving the dharma transmission. In the tenth month, Konoe Right Minister Kanetsune was transferred to Left Minister, Saionji Inner Minister Sanesuke was appointed Right Minister, and Major Counselor Fujiwara no Yoshizane was appointed Inner Minister. In the eleventh month, Yoritsune was promoted to Junior Second Rank. In the twelfth month, shrine attendants of Iwashimizu injured shrine attendants of Kasuga, causing the great assembly of Nara to rise up in anger and proceed to the capital carrying portable shrines. Hōjō Shigetoki dispatched soldiers to prevent this and sent envoys to pacify them, whereupon the portable shrines returned from the Kizu River. During this period, beginning with Michiie, people of the Fujiwara clan did not attend court.
