現代語訳
来て鷹を据えて、天皇の御狩に供奉し、雉を取った。これが日本での鷹狩の始まりである。武内大臣は、景行天皇の時より以来、成務・仲哀・神功・応神を経て、この代に薨去した。およそ六代の間、政治を執ること二百四十余年、その年齢は三百十七歳だったという。あるいは三百三十歳とも言われる。子供も多くあって、子孫が繁栄した。額田皇子という人が、闘鷄の山中で狩りをして夏の氷を得て、天皇に奉った。これより氷室といって、冬の氷を取って春夏まで蔵し置くことが始まった。
