（実雄は実）氏の弟である。
弘長元年二月、西園寺の左大臣公相の娘が入内し、中宮となった。三月、公相は左大臣を辞した。実雄が左大臣となった。近衛の基平が右大臣となった。兼経の子である。三条の公親が内大臣となった。
四月、兼平が関白を辞した。二条の前左大臣良実が再び関白となった。
六月、故三浦義村の子で律師・良賢という者が謀叛を企てたため、鎌倉にて生け捕りにされ、その同類が探し求められた。
十一月、前陸奥守入道・北条重時が卒去した。享年六十四歳。極楽寺と号した。これは義時の三男である。その子孫は赤橋と号した。

(Saneo was the younger brother of) Saneumji.
In the second month of the first year of Kōchō, the daughter of the Saionji Left Minister of State Kinsuke entered the imperial court and became Chūgū (Second Consort/Empress). In the third month, Kinsuke resigned from the position of Left Minister. Saneo became Left Minister. Konoe Motohira became Right Minister — he was the son of Kanetsune. Sanjō Kimitika became Inner Minister (Naidaijin).
In the fourth month, Kanehira resigned as Regent. The former Left Minister of the Nijō house, Yoshizane, again became Regent.
In the sixth month, a man called Risshi Ryōken, son of the late Miura Yoshimura, plotted a rebellion and was captured alive in Kamakura; a search was conducted for his associates.
In the eleventh month, the former Governor of Mutsu, the lay monk Hōjō Tokitoki, passed away at the age of sixty-four. He was known by the name Gokurakuji. He was the third son of Yoshitoki. His descendants took the name Akahashi.
In the twelfth month, the former Left Minister Saionji Kinsuke was appointed Grand Minister of State (Daijō-daijin).
