（前ページより続く）中御門の少弁・経任を関東へ遣わして（宗尊親王の帰洛を）謝罪させた。武家（幕府）側に特別な異議がなかったことにより、世の中は無事に落ち着いた。宗尊は建長四年（1252）より今年まで、在位十五年であった。さて鎌倉では、時宗・政村の取り計らいによって、宗尊の子・惟康（これやす）——わずか三歳であった——を取り立てて主君とした。同月、惟康は征夷大将軍に任じられ、従四位に叙された。
（文永）四年（1267）正月、冬忠が内大臣を辞した。関白・実経の子・家経が内大臣に任じられた。十月、後嵯峨上皇が春日へ御幸された。宸筆の唯識論の供養が行われた。同月、西園寺前太政大臣・公相が薨去した。享年四十五歳。父・入道太政大臣・実氏はなお存命であった。十二月、一条実経が関白を辞した。近衛左大臣・基平が関白となった。

(Continued from previous page) ...Shōben Tsunetō of Nakamikado was dispatched to the Kantō (Kamakura) to offer an apology (on behalf of the court regarding Munetaka's return to the capital). As the warrior house (the Bakufu) raised no particular objection, peace was restored throughout the land. Munetaka had been in his position from the fourth year of Kenchō (1252) until this year, a tenure of fifteen years. Meanwhile, in Kamakura, through the arrangements of Tokimune and Masamura, Munetaka's son Koreyasu—who was a mere three years of age—was installed and established as lord. In the same month, Koreyasu was appointed Seii Taishōgun (Shogun) and conferred the Junior Fourth Rank (Jushiihon).
In the first month of the fourth year (of Bun'ei, 1267), Fuyutada resigned as Inner Minister (Naidaijin). Ietsune, the son of Regent (Kanpaku) Sanetsune, was appointed Inner Minister. In the tenth month, Retired Emperor Go-Saga made an imperial visit (miyuki) to Kasuga (Shrine). A dedication ceremony (kuyō) was held for the Yuishikiron (Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi-śāstra) written in the Retired Emperor's own hand. In the same month, the former Chancellor (Sadaijin) of Saionji, Kinsuke, passed away. He was forty-five years of age. His father, the lay-monk Chancellor Sanetō, was still living at this time. In the twelfth month, Ichijō Sanetsune resigned as Regent. Konoe Sadaijin (Minister of the Left) Motohira became Regent.
