刺領巾は功があるとはいえ、その者は自分の君主を殺した者であるから、許すべきではないとして、刺領巾を殺した。仲皇子の同類はことごとく滅びたので、天皇は都を大和の磐余に定められた。平郡木菟と蘇我満智宿禰と物部伊莒弗大連と円大使主との四人が国政を執った。御弟の瑞歯別は大功があることにより、太子に立てられた。ある時、天皇が御船を内裏の前の池に浮かべて酒宴をされた時、桜の花が御盃の内へ落ちたので、これを賞でて内裏の名を稚桜の宮と名づけられた。諸国に文筆に達した者を分け置いて、その国々のことを記録させた。在位六年にして崩御された。御年七十。

On one occasion, when the Emperor was floating his imperial boat on the pond in front of the palace and holding a banquet, cherry blossoms fell into his sake cup, and admiring this, he named the palace Wakazakura no Miya (Young Cherry Palace). He assigned learned scribes to various provinces to record the affairs of their respective regions. He reigned for six years and passed away at the age of seventy.
