（北条時村が）京より鎌倉へ帰った。八月、鷹司の関白兼平が上表した。二条の左府・師忠が関白となった。十月、惟康に親王宣下があり、二品に叙された。同月、主上（後宇多天皇）は位を東宮・煕仁に譲られた。主上は今年わずかに十一歳であったので、亀山の新院も名残惜しくお思いになり、主上もご本意ではなかったが、「後深草の本院（上皇）がお待ちかねでいらっしゃるに違いない」と、関東（鎌倉幕府）から奏し申し上げたので、ご意思のままにならず譲位があったということである。年号は建治三年より弘安十年まで、合わせて在位十三年。

(Hōjō Tokimura) returned from Kyoto to Kamakura. In the eighth month, Regent (Kampaku) Kanenaka of the Kujō Takatsukasa clan submitted a memorial (jōhyō). Morotada, the Minister of the Left of the Nijō clan, became Regent. In the tenth month, a declaration was issued conferring imperial prince status upon Koreyasu, and he was promoted to the Second Rank (Nihon). In the same month, His Majesty (Emperor Gouda) abdicated in favor of Crown Prince Hirohito. As His Majesty was only eleven years old that year, the Retired Emperor Kameyama (Shin'in) felt deep reluctance to part with the throne, and His Majesty himself had no desire to abdicate either; however, since the Kamakura shogunate submitted a memorial saying "the Senior Retired Emperor of Fukakusa (Gofukakusa) must surely be impatiently waiting," the abdication took place against His Majesty's wishes. The reign spanned from the first year of Kenji through the tenth year of Kōan, totaling thirteen years on the throne.
