威を振るう。その次男、飯沼判官は父に劣らず権勢があり、時の人はこれを飯沼殿と号した。また安房守に任じられ、驕りのあまりに貞時を蔑ろにするのみならず、頼綱はひそかに安房守を将軍に任じようと謀った。頼綱が長男宗綱、これを貞時に告げた。これにより、頼綱ならびに安房守は誅せられた。宗綱は佐渡へ流された。その後、召し帰されて管領を務めさせられた。また罪があって上総へ流された。十二月、一条前摂政家経、薨ず。享年四十六歳。後に光明峯寺と号す。

...wielding power presumptuously. His second son, Iinuma Hankan, was no less powerful than his father, and the people of the time referred to him as "Iinuma-dono." He was also appointed as Awa no Kami (Governor of Awa Province), and in his arrogance, he not only treated Sadatoki with contempt but Yoritsuna also secretly plotted to install Awa no Kami as Shōgun. Yoritsuna's eldest son, Munetsuna, revealed this plot to Sadatoki. As a result, both Yoritsuna and Awa no Kami were put to death. Munetsuna was exiled to Sado Province. He was later pardoned and recalled, and was made to serve as Kanryō (administrative regent). He was subsequently exiled again to Kazusa Province due to another offense. In the twelfth month, Ichijō no Moto-Sesshō (Former Regent) Ietsune passed away. He was forty-six years of age. He was posthumously known as Kōmyōbuji.
In the second year (of Einin, 1294), eighth month, Takatsukasa no Moto-Kampaku (Former Chief Regent) Shōkoku Kanehira passed away. He was sixty-seven years of age. He was posthumously known as Shōnen-in.
In the third year (of Einin, 1295), sixth month, Hōjō Kanetoki returned to Kamakura from Chinzei (Kyushu). In the ninth month, he died of illness at the age of thirty-five.
