武家の計らいによって、後宇多法皇の第二皇子・尊治を東宮（皇太子）に立てた。十月、元号を延慶と改めた。十一月、師教は摂政を辞し、鷹司左大臣・冬平が摂政となった。

Through the arrangement of the military government (Bakufu), the second imperial prince of the Retired Emperor-Priest Go-Uda, Takaharu, was established as Crown Prince (Tōgū). In the tenth month, the era name was changed to Enkyō. In the eleventh month, Morotaka stepped down as sesshō (regent), and Takatsukasa Minister of the Left Fuyuhira became regent.
In the third month of the second year of Enkyō [1309], Fuyuhira resigned from the position of Minister of the Left. The former Minister of the Right of the Saionji house, Kinhira, was transferred to the position of Minister of the Left. In the sixth month, Kinhira declined [the position]. In the tenth month, Ichijō Sanehira retired from the position of Daijō Daijin (Grand Minister of State), and the former Naidaijin (Minister of the Center) of the Ōinomikado house, Nobatsugu, was appointed Daijō Daijin.
